  • Marketers primarily want to use it to save time in doing repetitive tasks.

  • Decision-makers and C-suite also want AI to improve time efficiencies.

  • Many marketers are already personally using AI and many are experimenting with AI tools. There is a widespread adoption towards AI within marketers.

  • There is a modest improvement in the confidence to evaluate the capabilities of AI and AI tools this year, compared to last year.

  • A sizeable portion of the marketing industry has moved to a better understanding of AI tools than last year.

    But,

  • Most marketers are still learning how AI works, experimenting, exploring and evaluating the potential of the many AI tools and apps.

Significantly,

  • The lack of internal AI-focused education and training at the organisational level continues to be the top barrier towards AI adoption.

  • Other top barriers are a lack of AI awareness and a lack of AI strategy.

  • CEOs and CMOs are the most critical roles in owning AI adoption in their organizations.

    $0-$10M organizations -> CEOs drive AI adoption

While 89% of large companies globally have a digital and AI transformation underway, they have only captured 31% of the expected revenue lift and 25% of the expected cost savings from the effort.
